Saturday!

So Saturday we had a family fun day.  Well not exactly a family fun day but it was a "let's go run some errand and stop a few places and watch the boys go crazy" kinda day!

  Our first stop was to a plant David has been working at for a really looonnnggg time.  I've heard David talk asphalt plant stuff for a while now but never actually had images to put to "baghouse," "drag slat," "dryer."  The plant happens to be located on Joshua Road.  Last month while I was gone, David had to go to this plant on a Saturday and had to take the boys.  Since then Joshua continues to ask if we are on "his road." 

 Our next stop was REI (Recreation Equipment, Inc) which is David's new candy store.  It has bikes, shoes, hiking and CAMPING supplies.  David and his buddy, Mark, are all about camping right now.  So the boys found the display tent.

Third stop was Five Below but we didn't have time to take pictures.  They boys were running around with foam swords, squishy balls and anything with Spider Man. 

The next stop was next door at the pet store.  The boys loved the dogs and the dogs loved them!!  Of course David had to stop and show us the spiders (GROSS!!).

Next stop after that was Ikea.  Again no pictures because it was too close to nap time and we ran through.  Joshua LOVED the toddler beds and the slides. 

Final stop was our friend's, the Wilsons, house.  David and Mark were playing with all their camping stuff.  They set up their hammocks and tarps.  Yes, people, they camp in hammocks not in tents!!

So they kids had to check it out too!

Here's my smiling little boy.

A former co-worker of mine gave Joshua a Thomas the Train sleeping bag the other day.  He LOOOVVVEEESSS it.  The day we got it he opened it in the living room and ran up upstairs to get his pillow.  Since then Joshua sleeps with it in bed every night!  At least he's that much closer to being ready for camping!!
